St Albans Piano Teacher

I am a highly qualified concert pianist, teacher, adjudicator, examiner with over 25 years of experience.

I teach pupils of all ages (from 5 - 75), covering the standard graded structure of ABRSM and Trinity College and Guildhall through to diploma and fellowship standard.

Specialising in teaching advanced players, musically gifted children and motivated adults, who are seeking to rekindle their skills from yesteryear, I add value to the learning experience by teaching in the pupil's own home.

I have a 100% pass rate with all my students who have ever taken examinations - the vast majority of them with Distinction. Many past pupils have won places at Oxbridge and the UK’s conservatoires.

I provide tuition in piano and theory, aural skills, and practical musicianship, harmony and counterpoint, composition, orchestral arrangement, musical form and structure, musical history and jazz.

In addition, I also provide support in exam preparation for GCSE, A Level and Diploma level - with harmony and composition exercises; tuition on historical topics and set works; expert advice and guidance on creative, aural, listening and performance skills.
