St Albans Piano Teacher

I am a highly qualified concert pianist, teacher,  visiting professor, adjudicator and examiner, with degrees from Oxford University and diplomas from 3 conservatoires, and over 30 years of experience. 

I teach pupils of all ages (from 5 - 85), covering the standard graded structure of ABRSM and Trinity College and LCM through to diploma and fellowship standard. 

Specialising in teaching musically gifted children, advanced players and motivated adults who are seeking to rekindle their skills from yesteryear, I add value to the learning experience by teaching in the pupil's own home.

I have a 100% pass rate with all my students who have ever taken examinations - the vast majority of them with Distinction. Many past pupils have won places at Oxbridge (with scholarships) and the UK’s music conservatoires.

I provide tuition in piano and theory, aural skills, and practical musicianship, harmony and counterpoint, composition, orchestral arrangement, musical form and structure, musical history and jazz.
