I am a highly qualified concert pianist, teacher, visiting professor, adjudicator and examiner, with degrees from Oxford University and performance diplomas from 3 conservatoires, and over 30 years of experience.
A child prodigy, I achieved 4 grade 8s with distinction by the age of 12 and my first professional diploma at the age of 14, thereafter going on to win concerto competitions at the RCM before gaining degrees from Oxford University, where I won the instrumental award.
A former lecturer at the universities of both Oxford and Hertfordshire, and visiting professor at the music conservatoires, I have also performed extensively throughout the UK and abroad, including the standard London chamber venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, St John Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields
I provide coaching to other teachers, professionals and potential professional musicians and am a regular guest speaker at many music societies.
I also accompany singers and instrumentalists at all levels for recitals, auditions, competitions and ABRSM / Trinity / LCM examinations through to diploma level.
